Aqua Teen Hunger Force

If your idea of comedy consists of talking food products that solve pointless mysteries, you will not believe what Aqua Teen Hunger Force has in store for you. The cartoon airs at midnight on Sundays on Cartoon Network, and follows the adventures of Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake. Each episode portrays this trio's efforts to solve frivolous problems. Whether battling robot rabbits, space aliens or searching for a lost PDA, their exploits are truly hilarious. I would recommend that everyone with 20 expendable minutes give this show a try. It is also available in conveniet DVD form for those who have the money/time/care/attention span.

Chappelle's Show

If talking food products does not quench your comedy thirst, I know something that will and it is The Chappelle Show. Hosted by comedian Dave Chappelle, Chappelle's Show primarily consists of comical skits acted out by Chappelle himself and many other actors. The skits touch many subjects, ranging from parodies of popular movies and tv shows to hilarious takes on racial issues. Alot of the material presented on the show can be VERY offensive to some, so you must watch the show knowing it is a comedy or don't watch it at all. Chappelle's Show also has many musical guests including Black Star, De La Soul, Kanye West and more. With good laughs and good music there are no reasons to miss this show. As of August 2004 The Chappelle Show has gone through two seasons and many are anticipating the third season's airing. You can catch this show on Comedy Central at different times, so just look up the show in your local TV guide.

The Daily Show

This is the perfect show for people who want to keep up with current events but find watching the news just too boring. The host, Jon Stewart, likes to call the show “fake news.” The Daily Show does actually follow real news stories; they just include a few not so true embellishments at the end of their stories. Keep updated with your favorite presidential candidates on show segment Indecision 2004 and laugh your way through fake interviews with news correspondents like Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Ed Helms. New shows air on Comedy Central Monday-Thursday at 11pm.

Family Guy

Family Guy's not your average cartoon show. Stewy, the youngest character on the show is always plotting to take over the world, while his father Peter Griffin plays the village idiot and usually gets his family into compromising positions. Brian, the family's talking dog, takes on the voice of reason, while Mrs. Griffin usually finds a way to correct Peter's mistakes. Meg and Chris Griffin are suppose to have overly exaggerated teenage personalities. There's a character for everybody on this show, and if you don't find one, you can always watch the show for the crazy scenarios that the characters experience. Some of the scenarios seem similar to our everday lives, and some others are out of this world. For instance, in one episode Meg has a hard time making friends in a new school, and in another episode the Griffins receive magical powers from a chemical waste spill. I suggest you keep your nights open because Family Guy airs at 11pm, Mondays through Thursdays on Cartoon Network. If you can waste time talking on the phone or playing video games, you can redirect the usage of that time towards watching Family Guy. If you have an hour to spare, you can watch Futurama at 1130. Futurama is a new age version of the simpsons with different characters and familiar humor. Now go watch some T.V.!
