. composite drawing mock-up. use a full sheet of 18x24 (newsprint or drawing paper) and rough-out the elements of one of your boards. this will give you a sense of scale, of both the sheet size and of the drawings you will be doing
. diagrams, 6-8 at 6"x6" each. neatly lay-out your series of diagrams, they do not have to be in their final drafted form on Thursday, but do still need to be clear and well considered. please refer to coolgallery–>ex.2–>2.7. you may use color, though not required. refer to your rules as a guide for determining elements to diagram...keep each diagram to one main idea/rule...simplify graphically so that the one idea/rule is clear and concise

1:30-drawings need to be pinned up in the second floor atrium for final review (the space where we usually pin up).
make sure you pin up both your group presentations (1.1-1.6) and your individual 1.7 work. MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR PROCESS DRAWINGS (& NOTES) FOR 1.7 TO PIN UP WITH YOUR FINAL DRAWINGS! remember to take some time to layout your 1.7 presentation (both graphic and verbal). do a few practice presentations so that you know what you want to say and how you want to say it. individual 1.7 presentations are to be 2 minutes in length.

good work in class Thursday...you all completed a lot of work. remember to take your time on your homework and see all of the detail. keep your eyes on the object and pencil on the paper. Think of your line as a single string that follows the edges...in all of their complexity. keep in mind that the edges can be much more than just the physical bounds of the object, they can encompass pattern, texture, limits of light and shadow and the play of reflection across an object.

AIA GA is offering free admission to the Predock lecture and reception this wednesday, SEPTEMBER 1, to faculty as well as to students. The reception starts at 6, the lecture starts at 7. Both are in the Georgia Pacific building, 133 Peachtree St. Two scholarships will be awarded to architecture program students at the start of the lecture.
