We have learned lot the first exercise of this studio class. Before we started this class I had an idea of that we will draw only lines. But, I learned lot of new things such the use charcoal, the technique of perspective, and overall now I can see everything different way.
1.1- it was all about to draw all the lines that we can see without looking the paper. It was really interesting, but it was really useful and helpful.
1.2- This exercise we learned how to use charcoal, and how to draw gesture drawing. This exercise helped me lot, because it was the first I ever used charcoal.
1.3- Exercise 1.3, we learned the technique of perspective. I believe this technique we will use the rest of our lives.
1.4- This exercise we used charcoal. We draw fruits and drapes.
1.5- This was a very interesting exercise, we create a texture and then we draw it. After we done this exercise, I observe every surface a different way.
1.6- In this exercise, we continue to draw a texture of a surface, but this we were drawing the regular size of the object, then zooming in and zooming out.
1.7- This exercise we draw a series of drawing, which translates transformation of situation in overtime.

Assignment 08.25

Part One
There was a small street called “Siigaale” in Mogadishu, Somalia, where I grew up. My house was on the Siigaale Street. There were lot of trees and flowers by the side of the street. There were also lots of beautiful houses and shops every corner of the street. But, the physical condition of the street was not a good one. There were lot of holes at the street, and most of the street was buried by sand. Siigaale also had good and bad qualities.
Let me start describing the physical condition of the Siigaale Street. The condition of the street was horrible respect of United States streets. There were no cars on that street, because we couldn’t drive even five mile per hour. There were lot of sands and dust all the time. There was also lots of water by the side of the street. It was usually dirty, and really it was bad for the health. Overall physical condition of the street was real bad.
Although the street had a bad sanitation, it also had lots of good qualities. There were lots of people all the time because there were lot fun, songs and dances all the time on that street. There were usually several dancing teams who came from all around Mogadishu, and sometimes they used to even come from outside of city. Every team used to wear traditional dresses, which were very beautiful. There were competitions between the teams who can dance same type of dances. There were also referees every competition. Some of the dances that they used to compete were “Beerey, Dhaanto, Wilisaqo,”and lots of others.
Something, I used to like Siigaale was every time there were lot of people, and lot of fun. The street was about only one kilometer, and every spot of it usually there was a competition of dance every second of the day. It was not only Somalian people who use to watch the dances and the songs, but there were also tourists who use to enjoy that fun.
There were also shops, which sells antic items and Somalian traditional clothes, all the corners of Siigaale. They also used to sell Somalian traditional sandals, which are very comfortable in the hot whether area like Mugadisho.
In conclusion, Siigaale Street was where I grew up, and I was always happy when I was around it. It had a bad qualities especially physical one and the sanitation. But it also had good qualities which brings all the people to come to Siigaale. There were lots fun all the time. Overall Siigaale was a great place, and I missed it.

Part two:

One scene that San Francisco is different from most of American cities is the one they went downtown. It was place that something was happening everywhere, every minute, something to be happy about it.
