Class is 9-12 MWF. Always come prepared with the necessary materials and supplies and be ready to work the entire period.
Unless told otherwise, you will always need your sketch book, art box, newsprint pad and sketch pad. Any additional materials needed for the day will be indicated under the heading for that day. Please check this site the evening before each class.

9 Sub-questions that correspond to the matrix of filters and scales
9 Methods of investigating those sub-questions
9 Piles of data (Drawings, Models, Photos, Interviews, etc.) from those investigations
Several design iterations that have produced various potential solutions for each of those sub-questions
A few (2-3)iterations of combinations of the previously mentioned investigation based solutions. These combination solutions are then potential solutions for the main question that you started with.

. For this exercise act as though Skiles was not there and instead on that site we erected a 20' tall, 2' x 2' Obelisk. Using a plan for the Azimuth Projection(Which will indicate the polar coordinate of the shadow) and a section for the Altitude Projection (Which will indicate the length of the shadow), draw a plan of the obelisk at the scale of 1/4" =1' and indicate its shadow direction and length during every sun hour on the last day of June.
