three teams will present their work collectively, so make sure your teammates are ready; try to see if there is a color, a flavor, if any, among the teammates that can translate into the work this semester
. skin sketches on 18x24
include at least one of each of the following types of drawings:
contour, tonal, perspective pair, and a very messy drawing; make sure there is a story connecting one sketch to the next so that the whole board reads as a book.
. ex 5.0b
i think the softest i will use is HB for sharper, cleaner lines. if you can handle softer ones, try. twirl the pencil or lead holder only once in one direction while you pull the line all the way through. be bold, not messy, with your lines. try different line types and weights. do more than minimum. this is one exercise where effort is sure to pay off. remember we have a speed test of your drafting skills in the class tuesday. it's p/f.
. your own working definition of the word "skin."
see if thinking of it as not only a noun but verb or adjective, etc., helps you.
. constructed inquiry book
start using it!
. supplies
bring them to the studio! get some drafting dots if you can afford them; they are worth it
. readings on 1012 ex templates
readings will give you ideas and new perspective
