ex 6 reflection promptPlease read the prompt below. Then scroll to the bottom, click on the link to your section page for Ex 6 Reflections, and post your precise and articulate reflections in response to each set of questions. We strongly recommend that you re-read the Exercise 6 brief before responding to the prompts below. The common template for Exercise 6 is available at http://cool.coa.gatech.edu/coolx/1034.Postings are due by MONDAY April 28th. 1. Take time to reflect on the successes of your ex 6 design processes. What skills acquired in former exercises played the most significant role in your project’s . Potent lines of inquiry? . Broad investigation thru multiple filters and scales? . Imagination? . Description of its experience? What progress in skill development most surprises you? 2. Ex 6 invited you to work with-in groups to varying degrees – either as design partners, or at least as critics for each other’s work. What aspects of group work played a most significant role in your project’s development? . Differing perspectives . Shared work load . Inspiration . Others? How did you work together to overcome challenges in communication, limitations of common time and space, and individual passion (that can often limit openness to options)? Do you feel your teamwork enriched your proposal? Would you do anything different next time? 3. From numerous broad and rich design studies, you worked with limited real estate to compose a single competition board. Describe the experience of distillation to this small board space. What challenges arose? How did you resolve them? 4. This dense competition board was hung adjacent to those of your peers – 13 panels filled with over 100 entries. What new insights surfaced as you saw and heard about your work in the context of others? . About the design process? . About design descriptions? . New insights about the 'window' as a device that can be understood and deployed in numeous ways and at different scales? 5. This year began with a coa 1060 assignment, 08.29, that asked you to carerully observe, describe, and speculate upon two installations that, to quote from the assignment, "cut across disciplinary and professional boundaries". To finish up this year we invite you to speculate upon how the 'window', as hole, aperture, gap, reveal, frame, lens, screen, wall, surface . . . , also crosses disciplinary boundaries and finds itself potentially as a matter of concern for architecture, for industrial design, and for building construction. ex 6 jundanian ex 6 setiawan ex 6 ullrich ex 6 antunez ex 6 ozbil ex 6 england ex 6 vialard ex 6 lee ex 6 okcu ex 6 frank ex 6 park ex 6 minatta ex 6 dvi-vardhana Links to this Page
