Elle is one of the most prominent fashion magazines on the market today. What separates Elle from other, often repetitive magazines is that Elle reviews almost every topic a reader can think of. From obscure books such as Strange Skies and The Gathering to new, hopeful bands like Okkervil River and The Pipettes, Elle does a great job of bringing subjects and people into our lives we might not have had the opportunity to discover on our own. While complete with almost 300 pages of the new trends of the season from mainstays such as Donatella Versace and John Galliano, this magazine offers a break from the intricate world of fashion with newsworthy reports on topics such as the Beijing art scene and shocking stories of the status of women in some third world countries. This magazine is for the person who is as interested in the most up to date information that has yet to be over reported as she is in the ever-changing fashion world.
