Alright, all I can say is I love concerts and live music. This summer I attended Bonnaroo and saw over 30 bands and was introduced to many new bands i now listen too. This summer I also went to see 311 with Matisyahu and I also went to Projekt Revolution which was the hottest day of my life (I was outside from noon til midnight in over 110 degree heat). But it was still awesome. Now im looking forward to Voodoo Fest where i will see the Smashing Pumpkins, Kings of Leon, and hopefully Rage against the machine will show up. Oh and so far up to date The Flaming Lips is the best show Ive ever seen live.

Well... First of all, I like Black Metal. I like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Gorgoroth, Marduk, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Belfegor, Sytricon, Old man's child, Sopor aeternus, Lacrimosa, Berserk, Burzum, Mayhem, Dark Funeral, Nightwish, Immortal, Dissection, Hypocrisy, King diamond, Moonspell, Emperor...and many many more. I went Black Sabbath, Dimmu Borgir, Judas Priest, Super Joint Ritual, Slipknot, Placebo Concerts(and more). I can play guitar, Violin and Clarinet. Is there anyone who really want to talk about rock bands? Who likes Led Zep, Deep Purple, Stryper, Iron Maiden, Firehouse, Motley Crue, Def Leppard and stuff? Talk to me! Changsup Crimson Lee

Everyone seems to want to talk about the craziest, most kick A concert they've been to. But does anyone here make their own music? Or beats maybe? Im trying to find someone who has some kind of experience with music creation software or feels they know a thing or two about making music. I am only beginning to understand the art of it, and would be willing to work with someone who is as passionate about it as I am.

Hey Santiago, I’ve been writing and recording music for two years using Garageband, a direct input device, and a handful of instruments. I’ve been looking for people to play/record with since I got here, and if you’re interested in music creation, I’d love to collaborate. We gotta represent the musicians here at Tech!

The best concert I have ever been to was a Deas Vail concert at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The band totally rocks, and if you want a mellowed out experience, this band is for you.
Megan Key

The Fray at HiFi Buys was the best show I've ever seen... :-D

To those who take interest in collaborating on their own work, or those who just purely take interest into music and its craft, may be interested in a project that I have worked with for about the past 4 years now known as Cameo Nova. Our genre focuses around pure rock. You can tell through our music/lyrics that our inspirations come from a certain band that goes by Our Lady Peace. Check us out at the wonderful world of myspace or you tube, and send me your thoughts. www.myspace.com/cameonova ……..HOLLA!

I freaking love all kinds of music. If you’re into jam bands, check out Widespread Panic or Umphrey’s McGee. If you’re into old school punk, check out Operation Ivy or Minor Threat. For rap check out El-p or my boy Young Jeezy. Btw… small venues are the best.

The Dispatch concert in Madison Square Garden in New York City was UNBELIVEABLE.
Noah Posner

The best concert I have ever been to was The Arcade Fire at the Atlanta Civic Center. Everyone in the audience sang along with the songs and didn't ruin it by whistling or cheering in the middle of a song. Every song they played was perfectly done and some sounded even better than they did on the CD. The acoustics were flawless, and the lights and displays they used fit with each song and were perfectly lined up with the music. In the middle of "Wake Up", one of the last songs they played, the lead drummer broke the snare off of his drum set and walked off the stage and up the 30-foot ledge along the stairs while playing it. The crowd kept him from falling off and he never missed a beat. At the end of the show, no one would leave when they opened the doors. Everyone stayed and cheered so long that the band came out and did an encore. Epic.
Robert Wilkey

The best album I’ve heard is Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. Despite the depressing lyrics some of the tunes are rather catchy and this is one of the few albums I’ve found I like all of the songs from and not just a few hits.

If anyone ever ventures to New York City, you should check out all the cool music venues they have in the village. They're all very intimate settings, with incredibly talented and creative local acts. The world-famous Blue Note club hosts jazz acts every night, and right down the street from it is Groove, which features funk. And for anyone interested in performing, there are always eager listeners in Washington Square Park!

I'm listening to Interpol - Antics right now. Good stuff. They are coming to the Tabernacle on 9/21. Recent music that I've downlo–I mean, purchased includes: Common, Danger Mouse, Daft Punk, Rilo Kiley, Pixies, Kanye, Ratatat, and Girl Talk (comes to MJQ Concourse on 9/22..."21" and up tho). I'd recommend them all.
Romannio Chan

Okay okay. Seiously. The best concert anyone could every possibly see is the Roots! They bring a nice mix of funky hip hop and jazziness that anyone could enjoy. Last concert they kicked it with a full live brass band.
Grayson Byrd

I don't have a concert to recommend, but Muse is a great band. They rock out loud. :)
Caitlin Fulmer

I've recently really been listening to Sound Tribe Sector 9. If you're into jam bands you should check them out.

Hey, if y’all missed out on this summer’s awesome music festivals, never fear, because from October 12-14, The Echo Project will be taking place roughly 30 miles southwest of Atlanta in a giant field. It’s a brand new festival that has an eco-friendly vibe (part of the project will be a 3-week Chattahoochee River clean-up prior to the event) and an impressive line-up, which includes The Killers, Phil Lesh and Friends, The Flaming Lips (one of THE GREATEST LIVE ACTS in existence, btw), The Roots, Les Claypool, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Polyphonic Spree, Cat Power, RJD2, and a whole lot more. If you’re interested, which you should definitely be by now, check it out at the-echoproject.com. It’s gonna be incredible, trust me.

I love Lisa Ono.

^^ Everyone's recommendations sound uber exciting!! Anyone here in the mood for epic-soundtrack & chillaxin' music? Please check out E.S. Posthumus on Youtube or IMEEM; they're very excellent at producing instrumental pieces.
Melissa Wang

The best live show I have ever seen was John Mayer at JazzFest 2007 in New Orleans.
Jill Exley

Music in general is amazing! Kenny Chesney is the best I’ve ever seen in concert although I must say; Audio Adrenaline was really good too. Live music of any kind beats a CD or ipod any day. But my favorite album has to be the Fray’s How to Save a Life.
Sarah Scholz

Goo Goo Dolls and Lifehouse on the same stage were incredible! Not to mention it was 7th row pit at Chastain. What a night . . . By the way, if you’ve not heard of Lifehouse and/or haven't bought their new album, check it out!

For the past two years I've gone to Bonnaroo (it's a HUGE music festival in Tenn. for those who don't know) and I promise you it is soooooooo amazing. If anyone ever has a chance to go, do it. And by the way make sure to look up The Echo Project. It's a music festival coming to Atlanta in October
Charles Thompson

The best concert I have ever been to was the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It actually brought tears to my eyes. They were so amazing that I saw them again farther away 2 months later and it was just as amazing the second time. Plus they always have the best openers like the Mars Volta and Gnarls Barkley.
Molly McCarthy

If it's music, then I love it. Loud.
Shannon Duley

"Believe it or not" - Simon and Garfunkel reunion tour Grant Field(GaTech) 1981, however, Led Zepplin was the ultimate rock band. Check out Metalsom Mondays at Dark Horse Tavern for karoke to a live metal band.

The album Beef or Chicken? by the Teriyaki Boyz was the work of a Who's Who of electronic and rap producers including Daft Punk, Just Blaze, Mark Ronson, The Neptunes and Adrock of the Beastie Boys. Created by NIGO of A Bathing Ape, the Teriyaki Boyz is a japanese hip-hop group consisting of 4, very popular MCs: Verbal from M-Flo, Wise from BapeSounds, and Ilmari and Ryo-Z of Rip-Sylme. Their most popular song would be "HeartBreaker" - produced by Daft Punk. The Teriyaki Boyz have also been featured on the Fast and the Furios: Tokyo Drift soundtrack and their latest song, "I Still Love H.E.R." features Kanye West. The Teriyaki Boyz can be found on youtube. Check them out sometime. Andrew Hong

I agree Caitlin Fulmer. Muse rocks.
Layne Matthews

Some of my favorite bands are Radiohead, Talking Heads, The Decemberists, and Arcade Fire.

I love music. I listen to all sorts of music, but I listen to a lot of Christian music. Although many people accuse people who listen to Christian music of only listening to it because it has “Christian” stamped on it, I try not to be like that. I like it because of its message and the way it sounds. Just like any other genre, if I don’t like the way the music sounds, I’m not going to be inclined to listen to it, even if it is Christian.
Over the summer I went to a big music festival (no, not Woodstock). It was called SoulFest and it’s a huge Christian concert series that occurs annually in New Hampshire. We camped out for five days, relaxed, and went to concerts for four days in the afternoons/evenings. It was an incredible experience. I hope I can do it again next year.
