for T 10.11.07
Hey folks,
Take Monday and Tuesday off, however, try to make a big push on 2.1 and 2.2 with your group. You brainstormed substantially on Thursday afternoon about 2.2 and started to organize your base of knowledge for 2.1. Come to class with the following.
2.2 - Solid information gathering "uncooked" in Inquiry Book.
2.1 - Strategy in the form of 18"x 24" sheets with ideas and rough drafts for comparative analysis drawings. This could be photos, drawings, text, or a composite of all of those.
Measured Drawings - many of you guys had a great start on these. Make sure every detail is filled in and the dimension strings are clear and legible.
Taking its measure - add text descriptions to your thumbnails.
Readings - catch up on all readings. Peruse the template page for resources that could help your group. Reread Ann's lecture about analysis and strategies for envisioning information.
General - practice making quality models. Don't use scissors, use exacto knife to cut. Lay down a small bead of glue for the best joints between chipboard.
Strive to create the best drawings with the most embedded information. Use your thumbnails with singular pieces of information and start to think about how to organize multiple pieces of information in composite form.

What do your lines tell us?
How does the line change as the view changes?
Draw more detail than in class Thursday.
Make better lines than Thursday.
Th 08.23.07
Good job with the continuous contours today! There were some good starts....concentrate on line quality, line weight, varying the pressure of the pencil to paper, understanding exactly what you are looking at.
